Welcome to Iris our new civic service

Iris Nadeau is our new recruit to the Nature Reserve. She is engaged as a civic service for 7 months at our side.

Iris is 25 years old and comes from Normandy. Passionate about ornithology and naturalistic photography, she intends to carry out her missions with enthusiasm and dynamism.

Its missions concern awareness raising on the protection of biodiversity, notably through actions of collection and analysis of naturalistic data (fauna and flora), but also public awareness, mediation with the local population, etc.

Passionate about nature, photography and nature sports, I recently graduated from the Master of Ecology in Montpellier. During my internships and trips, I refined my preferences in terms of missions, but also in terms of subject matter and work environment. Combining fieldwork and public awareness while maintaining a scientific perspective has established itself as an objective in my missions. The mountains and the protected but sensitive habitats of high-altitude forests are the ideal setting. This civic service at the Haute Chaîne du Jura National Nature Reserve perfectly corresponds to all my expectations. It allows me both to discover the actions carried out on such a vast space, to invest myself in its preservation, and to train myself in the profession to which I aspire. Finally, it is simply an incredible privilege to be able to work and live in a protected environment where emblematic species such as the Great Grouse and the Lynx coexist. ”

The entire RN team welcomes him!
